All of Oregon’s children deserve to be healthy

All of Oregon's children deserve to be healthy

Big Tobacco has spent millions of dollars defeating similar measures throughout the country, often resorting to misleading and negative campaign tactics. Oregonians know better – it is time for us to do the right thing. Vote “yes” for the Healthy Kids Plan!

We need to support our children

We need to support our children

My twins have always had good health care and despite coming a month early, good health as well. I still have thousands of dollars of health care bills each year for them. I can’t imagine what families do without any coverage at all. We need to support our children!

My children don’t have healthcare

My children don't have healthcare

I have healthcare through my employer, but it only covers me. My husband is in school, so he doesn’t have any coverage at all. That leaves our two children without healthcare coverage. It is very difficult to make sure that two very active children stay safe while they play. It also gets very expensive when one of them do get sick or injured, or even have to go to the dentist.

Marci and Marco

My children are insured now, but I have to pay for it, which is not cheap, no matter where you live. Healthy Kids plan would help us by not having to pay so much for premium and would be peace of mind, knowing that the kids have coverage in case of something. It is a big chunk out of one’s paycheck to have the family insured, that is if the employer even offers healthy insurance for the family. It is even a bigger chunk out of pocket, if Kids and families are not insured at all. It would be only fair to have ALL kids covered, that way, the ones with insurance don’t have to pick up the tab for the uninsured.

Thank you
Patty F.
